What
- SIRI is an 8 weeklong Internship funded by the NSF, you will be sent to Purdue University or Penn State University depending on availability for your time during the internship but will have a short orientation at the UNM Campus from May 28th to the 30th.
- This Internship aims to introduce students to cyber-physical systems (CPS), promote inclusive academic research environments in CPS, and encourage student participation in graduate programs or employment in CPS-related fields.
- Amount of last years stipend for doing 8 weeks of research: $6,000 made over two monthly payments.
Who
- Sophomores, juniors, and seniors that are interested in CPS-related fields and passionate about the need for diversity & inclusivity in academic environments.
- Underrepresented students are particularly encouraged to apply
Where
- Students will conduct research in pairs at Purdue University and Penn State University.
- We will try to accommodate requests for certain projects and universities however we cannot guarantee you will be placed in the project or environment of your choosing. But we can guarantee that whoever you end up with it will be an engaging and enriching experience.

- This internship will help you to develop basic research skills, obtain exposure to state-of-the-art research and engineering facilities.
