Summer Intensive Research Internship (SIRI)

SIRI aims to introduce students to cyber-physical systems (CPS) and encourage student participation in graduate programs or employment in CPS-related fields.

What
- SIRI is a 9-week long summer internship. Students will participate in an orientation at The University of New Mexico, May 28-30, 2025, and then complete an 8-week research term at either Purdue University or Penn State University.
- Students receive competitive stipends ($6,000) and on-campus housing.
Who
- Sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are interested in CPS-related fields and passionate about engaging everyone in academic environments.
- All students from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Where
- Students will conduct research in pairs at Purdue University or Penn State University.
- While we almost always can place students in one of their top three choices for projects, we cannot guarantee you will receive your top choice. Please note that the benefits of SIRI go beyond the specific project you participate on, and that irrespective of your assigned project, you will have an engaging and enriching experience.
